I remember these guys when they were at Kaya's. It was always great! Haven't been since they moved because I don't always go Kahuku side. But I just went & as always they didn't disappoint!

*This review is based on my visit at What The Truck in Waikele* I saw Da Bald Guy at What The Truck in Waikele for their food truck event. I watched them on the Netflix show and super excited to try their food. We choose the pan fried poke plate, it comes with rice and mac salad - no substitutes. Damn, the pan fried poke was perfect, nice and tender. My mom and I shared a plate and it was just silence when we were eating. It was that good. We cleaned up the plate too!!! I got to see James, who is the owner but I didn't get to really say hi and talk to him... so I definitely want to visit him in Kahuku one day! :)

The accompanying rice and fresh salad provided the perfect balance, making every bite a delight. We also indulged in the BBQ boneless beef ribs, which were incredibly tender and flavorful. Da Bald Guy food truck in Kahuku. It had a pretty long line but it moved quickly so the wait wasn't bad. The pan fried poke was $20 with most of the other plates being that price or somewhere around there. The portions were solid with it being pretty filling and having a good amount of poke in it. The sauce was a highlight as it gives the poke a sense of flavor that is hard to find elsewhere. I also got to try the steak which was just as good as the poke with it being very moist and tasty. The rice that comes with the dishes complements the meat very well. Lady working in the truck was very quick and delivered the food quickly. She was also very nice Very simple yet effective location with seats around the truck. Openness to the truck allows a lot of people to easily come by and order. Would go again

This food truck had delicious food. I got the Cajun Garlic Butter Shrimp and was pleased with the portion size as well as the flavor of the shrimp. The Shrimp came with plenty of rice and a small scoop of macaroni salad. The line to order wasn't bad, but the wait was long due to the number of people ordering. I went in April and can't imagine what the wait is like during the summer. The price was average and I'd go back again if given the opportunity.

I love this place ! Their food is so delicious!! We went a little later in the day on a weekend like around 1 and they were already out of most things! We were still able to try their garlic shrimp which I love that it's peeled and their pan fried poke. That was probably my favorite!! I've never had anything like it before and it was just so goooood!! The line was a little long when we got there but it went by pretty fast. The wait for your food was a bit long but there is a sign warning you and it's totally worth it trust me! There's a few tables to sit at but they seemed to get pretty packed quick! We ended up just eating In the car under the shade! I will definitely be back to try their salmon and poke!

Come early since they run out of items and close when they run out as well. Food truck located in a shopping area with plenty of open parking surrounding the area. Tried the furikake crusted salmon. This was 5 out of 5. Fish was fatty and soft and cooked thoroughly without being dry. Batter was crispy and we got the plate fresh and hot! Portion was reasonable as well! They have a variety of entrees for $20. Unfortunately couldn't get the combo plate (2 choices) which would be $30 today. Will try other dishes the next time we come! Must try place when in the area!!

Food: I heard this place was good but was not expecting it to be thaat good. We got the furikake salmon and Cajun garlic shrimp. After getting our food we took a while looking for a place to sit and even then it was so good. They use king salmon so it's nice and fatty. The shrimp was similar to Giovannis but the Cajun was a nice twist. To top it off the Mac salad was even bomb. Definitely recommend making the trip out to try this place. Price: $20 is a bit pricey but justified for the quality of the food. Service: it takes a while since it's so crowded, but worth the wait. Ambiance: it's food truck with some tables and benches.

Another day, another food truck. Found this place on the North Shore where we were staying for breakfast. Hawaiian breakfast looking a lil different from your typical American breakfast but still delicious none-the-less. Plenty of spaces to park around the food truck area. We got the Boneless Kalbi Beef Breakfast and the 3 Portuguese Sausage. The beef was so tender it just melts in your mouth and the sausage was good with a little spice. Good vibes and good food. What more can you ask for. The owners were friendly and gave us their recommendations based on what we were feeling. Would definitely make an effort to stop by next time I am back.
